Durrance Manor in Shipley opening 29th August for the National Garden Scheme.
The 2acre garden at Durrance Manor, surrounds a medieval hall house (not open) and enjoys uninterrupted views over a ha-ha of the South Downs and Chanctonbury Ring. Features include a Japanese inspired garden, a large pond, a wildflower meadow and orchard, colourful borders and a vegetable garden. There is also a Monet style bridge over a pond with water lilies.
This garden is open in aid of the National Garden Scheme. The NGS have donated over £63 million to nursing and health charities and made an annual donation of over £3 million in 2021. Their core beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
