Eight-year-old Vinnie Horspool Wynn from Barnham has raised £1,663 so far after completing 100 laps of his home estate reportedly covering 29 miles.

On the JustGiving page, it states "my mummy and daddy asked me what I wanted to dress up as for world book day on Thursday the 4th of March and I remembered captain sir Tom Moore had written a book and that I wanted to dress up as a real hero."

"Then I asked my mummy and daddy if I could do 100 laps of my home estate just like he did. Mummy said it would be hard work but I was allowed too. Mummy said she doesn’t think I’ll make millions but even 50p is better than nothing."

Photos show Vinnie, dressing up like the war veteran, who has been hailed for “lifting the spirits of an entire nation” as tributes poured in from across the globe following his death at the age of 100.

Vinnie is raising money for the NHS "just like sir Tom Moore did."
