A man is fighting for his life after what police believe was a hit and run in Storrington

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Storrington that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called to reports of a man lying in the road on the A283 Manleys Hill, Storrington, at 22.52pm on Monday (July 12).

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The road was reopened shortly after 6am on Tuesday morning (July 13).

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which could help with the investigation is asked to contact collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting Operation Hailing.
