Heads On, the official charity for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, has been selected as one of Brighton Marathon Weekend's local charity partners for 2023.

Rachael Duke, Head of Charity said: "We are delighted to be working with Brighton Marathon 2023, raising awareness of mental health and celebrating the positive effects that running and cycling can have on recovery in the NHS’ 75th anniversary year. Huge thanks to everyone running and cycling for Heads On, see you at the finish line!”

The partnership gives Heads On a greater presence at the event including space on the Brighton Marathon website, additional places in all three events (Brighton Marathon, BM ride and BM10k) and wider promotion of the important work they do to support people with mental health problems and learning disabilities in our community.

Grounded Events, commented: "We have always been passionate about helping the local Sussex community stay active and achieve something amazing. Every year our local community impresses us with their support: as volunteers, as spectators, and as inspiring runners and riders chasing the finish line.

Heads On’s mission to help local people with mental health issues feel supported, stay active and get involved in the community is one close to our own principles and we’re delighted to be partnering with them as one of our two local charity partners for Brighton Marathon Weekend 2023."

Thanks to this partnership the charity has several spaces available, so if you are interested in running or cycling to support Heads On, please visit the Heads On page here for information and to register.
