A 16-year-old cyclist from Portsmouth involved in a crash on Portsdown Hill has now died.
The ambulance service called police at around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13th, to the scene of a collision involving a boy riding a bicycle and a silver Honda Jazz.
An 18-year-old man from Gosport was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He has now been released on bail until the 12th of September while further enquiries continue.
A 17-year-old boy from Lee-on-the-Solent was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving; he has been released with no further action to be taken against him.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses, and anyone with relevant dash cam footage, to come forward.
