Crews from three fire stations in Sussex and one in Surrey tackled a fire in an industrial estate in Station Road in Loxwood, Chichester on Tuesday night.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue crews from Billingshurst, Horsham and Petworth worked from just after 9pm on Tuesday night with eight engines in attendance and including a water carrying device.
An aerial ladder was also used as jets and fog nails. Firefighters also needed breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.
People were asked to avoid the area on Tuesday night.
The incident was finally scaled down just before 7am Wednesday morning, with one crew left from Midhurst damping down any hotspots.
