Children and grown-ups had a go at everything from space hopper races to giant board games yesterday at a Worthing Borough Council fun day.

Children of all ages took part in an exciting range of games and activities at the free event at Victoria Park hosted by the Council’s park rangers.

The Council’s Big Listen team were also on hand to speak to everybody they met about how Worthing could be reimagined for 2030 - and how it could be achieved through greater co-operation between the Council and the community.

The Big Listen is the Council’s new approach to decision-making that involves listening to and engaging with as many people as possible.

Cllr Rita Garner, Worthing’s Cabinet Member for Culture & Leisure, said: “The Big Listen is a fantastic opportunity for people to have their say about what they love most about Worthing, and what we can do to make the town even better.

“It is great to hear people’s views on our green and blue spaces as well as the environment all around us."
