Leigh Park man found guilty of 28 sexual offences spanning over more than 40 years

A man has been found guilty of 28 sexual offences committed over more than four decades in Chichester, Havant, Denmead, Southsea and Hambledon.

60-year-old David Anthony Cotton, of Middle Park Way in Leigh Park, was convicted of offences involving ten victims, spanning from the late 1970s to 2021.

Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, a jury at Portsmouth Crown Court found him guilty on all counts following a five-week trial.

He was remanded into custody by the judge, who stated that Cotton is a prolific offender and a danger to society and will be sentenced next year.
