Littlehampton Sandcastle Contest is Coming Back!

The annual sandcastle competition is back and the Town Council is inviting families to join in with this fun seaside event being held at East Beach on Thursday 12th August.

Entry into the competition is free and there are prizes to be won in each category. There are three categories to compete in: 5 and under, over 5’s as well as 10+. The ‘out-sanding’ winners will receive ride tickets and other prizes courtesy of event sponsor, Harbour Park.

Enthusiastic builders are allowed to enter as a group or individually, but can only decorate creations using natural materials from the beach.

Bring your buckets down and find us along the seafront, near the Stage by the Sea, from 10am to register and receive a free bucket before the competition commences at 11am.

So, cruise on down to the beach and ‘sea’ if you can create a sandcastle fit for a Queen or King. The world is your oyster!

Speaking about the family-fun event Chair of the Community Resources Committee, Councillor Billy Blanchard-Cooper said: “It’s always fantastic to see families and friends working together to build imaginative sculptures and castles. Every year your entries make waves with our special competition judges. As always, we hope your entries are swimming with creativity leaving our judges floundering. To keep you all safe, we encourage everybody to check in at the event upon registration at the Stage by the Sea via the NHS app.’’
