Local policeman asks drivers not to queue for McDonald’s along A27 in Chichester

A police officer has urged the ‘hungry people’ of Chichester to ‘utilise some common sense’ and not queue for McDonald’s along the A27.

PC Tom Van Der Wee says drivers have been blocking the roundabout by queueing for a McDonald's - which he described as "dangerous" on Twitter.

He instead urged people to return later or eat somewhere else.

He wrote on Twitter: “Hungry people of Chichester: If the McDonalds drive through is full, please don’t form a queue on the A27 as it’s dangerous and blocks the roundabout.

“Utilise some common sense, come back later or go and get food from elsewhere. There are plenty of other options!”

The drive-through restaurant in Portfield Way is located right off the Portfield Roundabout and is open 24 hours.
