Man convicted of offences including Class A drug supply in Portsmouth

A 29-year-old man from Portsmouth has been convicted for his involvement in the supply of cocaine and heroin in the city.

Samuel Watts of no fixed abode in Portsmouth was arrested in April 2020 on suspicion of the following offences:

  • Conspiracy to supply a Class A drug – Cocaine
  • Conspiracy to supply a Class A drug – Heroin
  • Arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation.

However, while on bail, he fled to the US, where he was eventually tracked down in New York and subsequently extradited back to the UK.

Watts pleaded guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court and will be sentenced on the 17th of April.
