Members of the public invited to attend upcoming Health and Wellbeing Board meeting in-person

Members of the public are invited to attend the next meeting of the West Sussex Health and Wellbeing Board where they will be able to put their questions directly to the county’s health leaders.

The Board works to improve the health and wellbeing of West Sussex residents. It will be the first time that members have met in-person since before the pandemic, following nearly two years of virtual meetings.

The Health and Wellbeing Board will meet on Thursday, 28 April from 10.30am in the Council Chamber at County Hall, in Chichester.

The agenda includes a public forum where residents of West Sussex can submit their questions to the Board prior to the meeting and be there to hear the response from members. Those who are unable to attend, or who don’t wish to, can still submit questions and receive a response at a later date.

Questions for the Board can be submitted in advance by calling Rachel Allan, Senior Democratic Services Advisor, on 0330 222 8966 or emailing rachel.allan@westsussex.gov.uk

During the meeting, members will consider a report and presentation on published and emerging national public health policy and preparation for implementation locally.

There will be formal quarterly updates from the Children First Board and the West Sussex Covid-19 Local Outbreak Engagement Board, both of which are sub-groups of the Health and Wellbeing Board.

Director of Public Health for West Sussex, Alison Challenger, will also provide a verbal update on current public health matters.
