Minister for Arts visits Together We Rise at Chichester Cathedral

Curator Jacquiline Creswell and Lord Parkinson viewing Fiona Campbell's Martyrdom of the Ten Thousand

Chichester Cathedral welcomed Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay to experience the summer exhibition, Together We Rise.

Lord Parkinson is a Minister for Arts, forming part of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport. He was greeted by the Curator and Visual Arts Advisor Jacquiline Creswell, who provided him with a tour of the exhibition which runs until 6th September.

Together We Rise is a major exhibition of artworks from celebrated members of the Royal Society of Sculptors. The exhibition comprises over 30 artworks presented within the 940-year old living place of worship, and across the grounds. The pieces respond to the artists' experience of the pandemic, their resilience, sense of community and collective hope for the future.

The exhibition is curated by Visual Arts Advisor Jacquiline Creswell and forms part of Culture Spark – Chichester’s season of culture in 2022.

Entry to the Cathedral is free, donations are welcome. There is no need to book.
