New fire station proposal in Horsham

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service’s proposed new fire station and training centre in Horsham will be discussed by the county council’s Planning and Rights of Way Committee next week

West Sussex County council will meet virtually from 10.30 am on Tuesday 2 February.

Permission is being sought to build the combined facility on land off the A24 at Highwood Mill in Horsham, which will include training buildings, car parking, landscaping, access and emergency access onto the A24.

The majority of the site has previously been identified as development land for a new fire station, with outline planning permission previously approved by Horsham District Council.
