Thanks to the effort of the Petworth Bloom Volunteers and the support of the community the West Sussex town has been awarded another GOLD for this year's entry.

In addition to this Petworth has come FIRST in the “Small towns” category as judged by The Royal Horticultural Society.

This accolade means Petworth now holds the top position for floral displays, horticultural projects, environmental and community achievements in the whole of the South and South East of England.

On the Petworth Town Council website a huge thank you was given to every person who had contributed, stating "It would not be possible without all those extra helping hands".

Particular thanks was given to Ricia Hewlett, Charlotte Hamilton, Jean Orrow and Maggie South for their amazing effort with the town’s planting and horticulture.
