Police appeal for information after woman raped in Chichester on Monday evening

Police are also looking for witnesses of the Velyn Avenue junction attack

Police have opened an appeal following a rape that took place in Chichester on Monday. 

Sussex Police are asking for witnesses and information after a woman was raped on the 19th of September at a premises which sits on the junction between Velyn Avenue and the A259 Bognor Road. 

The suspect is described as white and in his fifties. He is also said to have dark hair and having been wearing a blue jacket at the time of the attack. 

Information provided also believes that the man had an Eastern European accent. As specially trained police continue to support the victim, anyone with information is asked to report it by calling 101, quoting 'Operation Mountain'.
