Regis Centre and Alexandra Theatre in Bognor Regis, has received £3,617 to help fund the essentials, such as hands-free sanitizers.

The theatre says "The support from the Theatres Reopening Fund, administered by the Theatres Trust, will allow the Regis Centre to prepare for the reopening of the auditorium and public spaces by funding the purchase of essential materials.

"This includes additional hands-free sanitizing pumps, protective Perspex screens for use in the foyer area, the theatre itself and the backstage area, additional digital thermometers, scanners to allow an efficient paperless ticketing system for our auditorium and additional fogging machines to continue our rigorous cleaning and disinfecting procedures."

Theatres Trust Director Jon Morgan said: “We are beginning to look forward to a time when theatres can reopen, welcome audiences back inside and continue to play a vital role in their communities. Following a difficult year, Theatres Trust is delighted to be able to support the Regis Centre, its town’s major venue, with its plans for a safe reopening.”

The Theatres Reopening Fund is administered by the Theatres Trust with the aim of supporting theatres with reopening following several months of closure.

Helping cover costs such as building improvements and purchasing equipment that will support the theatre to be able to open viably and safely.
