Traffic reports say the incident happened on the B2166 Pagham Road northbound earlier this morning between the Royal Oak Pub and Marsh Lane.
Traffic reports being received at V2 Radio all morning indicate heavy traffic in the surrounding area due to drivers avoiding the crash. Messages on social media indicate the road could be closed until midday.

It comes as a number of other accidents have also been reported on the diversion routes causing additional delays.
There are delays on Chalcroft Lane, Rose Green Road, Lower Bognor Road and the North Bersted by-pass.
