A man is being treated in hospital for serious burns, after a suspected arson attack at a property in Bognor Regis last night (Thursday 8 April).
Sussex Police said officers were called to reports of a deliberate fire at a property in Oak Grove at 8.20pm.
“One man suffered serious burns and is currently receiving treatment,” said a spokesman.
They added: “Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Viper.
Arson is a crime of willfully and maliciously setting fire to or charring property. Though the act typically involves buildings, the term arson can also refer to the intentional burning of other things, such as motor vehicles, watercraft, or forests.
