Teenager suffers potentially life-changing injuries in Horsham collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Horsham in which a teenager suffered potentially life-changing injuries.

Officers were called to reports of a collision on the A24 Dorking Road, Horsham, at around 9.30am on Tuesday (August 24).

A white Ford Fiesta carrying two people was travelling southbound before leaving the carriageway and hit a house.

The passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Bolney, suffered potentially life-changing facial injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman, from West Ashling, near Chichester, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and for driving a motor vehicle while above the alcohol limit.

She was released under investigation while enquiries continue.
