Three police officers charged with dangerous driving after motorcycles crash

Three police officers have been charged with dangerous driving following a crash last year.

The three off-duty officers were riding motorcycles towards Chichester, West Sussex, at 1.20pm on July 11.

Two of the officers suffered multiple injuries when they were in collision with a red Ford Fiesta, Sussex Police said.

The driver of the Fiesta, an 80-year-old man from Chichester, and his female passenger sustained minor injuries.

Pc James Latter, 30, based at Lewes; Pc Ahmet Yapicioz, 53, based at Gatwick; and Pc Alan Harris, 30, based at Lewes, will face a charge of dangerous driving.

Yapicioz and Harris were also charged with driving at a speed exceeding 60 miles an hour.
