Local History and Flower Display - St Andrews Church West Dean to Commemorate VE 80 Day to raise funds for Valley Parish Churches
Local History and Flower Display to commemorate VE 80 Day. including a display of work by the children from West Dean School. Research into the men lost from the Valley Parish of East Dean, Singleton and West Dean has revealed that they were involved in operations all over the world from Canada to Burma. Operations included North Atlantic Convoys, Bomber attacks on V1 and V2 rocket sites, and flights into occupied France. Beautiful flower arrangements throughout the church. Refreshments available. Please help us raise money to save our ancient church buildings.
