Don't walk under Bognor Pier say council

There are warnings for beachgoers in Bognor as the weather heats up.

The weather across the South is going to be hot this week, with sunshine and highs of up to 22°C expected. Many people may be heading to Bognor Regis and down to the beach.

But Arun District Council urges visitors to avoid walking underneath the Pier due to structural damage.

The owner of the privately owned Pier is aware, and signs are now in place warning people to stay clear of the area beneath the structure.
