Chichester International Film Festival - Have YOUR Say!

The Chichester International Film Festival, one of the South Coast’s most anticipated cultural events, is set to make its return this summer. Running from 8 - 24 August, the Festival promises an extraordinary celebration of cinema with an ambitious programme featuring exclusive premieres, iconic film screenings, live events, and much more. 

Now in its 33rd year, the Festival will once again open with its popular Open Air Screenings, located amidst the picturesque surroundings of Priory Park in Chichester. Audiences can enjoy three days of iconic films under the stars, including The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Jaws, which both celebrate their 50th anniversaries. Families are also invited to attend special afternoon outdoor screenings, offering films for audiences of all ages.

This year, the Festival is calling on V2 audiences to help them decide on the final open air film screening that will take place on Sunday 10 August at 8:15pm. The fabulous finale to the Festival's open air series always has a musical theme and the options for this year are:

One Love: Bob Marley (2024) - A colourful biopic that tells the story of how reggae icon Bob Marley overcame adversity to become one of the world’s most influential singer songwriters of all time. 

Walk the Line (2005) - Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, follow the story of country music legend Johnny Cash from his early days on an Arkansas cotton farm to his rise to fame with Sun Records in Memphis. This year marks the 20th anniversary since the film was released. 

Cast your vote on which film you would rather see in this year’s Chichester International Film Festival. Whichever film gets the most votes will be screened in Priory Park on Sunday 10th August at 7pm for audiences to enjoy!
