Walkies for Whiskers

Returning after many years, the much-loved event will help raise vital funds for the animals currently in the charity’s care.

Taking place on Saturday 13th June from 10am, the walk will begin and end at The Centre and will take supporters on a beautiful 4.5 mile rural route around Sidlesham. Along the way, participants will enjoy countryside pathways, fields, bridges, and stiles, making it a lovely outdoor adventure for families, friends, and four-legged companions alike.

Dogs on leads are very welcome, and with plenty of free parking available at The Centre, the event offers the perfect way to spend a summer morning while supporting rescue animals in need.

There will be refreshments available before and after the walk, as well as fun family activities including a children’s treasure hunt, face painting, and ice cream.

Walkies for Whiskers entry is £10 per adult, with children and dogs attending free of charge. The charity is also encouraging children to get involved with sponsorship, helping raise even more for the animals who need care and support.

Founded in 1986, The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned and unwanted cats, rabbits and guinea pigs across West Sussex and Hampshire. The charity receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations from the public to continue its work.
