Located in the heart of West Dean, we are a traditional country pub, serving locally sourced, seasonal food & ales. Our menu is seasonal, whilst keeping some of our pub favourites and we pride ourselves on the use of quality, locally sourced produce. We also serve beer bites to enjoy alongside our excellent ales from the Gribble Brewery.

The parkland surroundings of Oaklands Pavilion make it an ideal location for your Wedding reception or party. Located just outside the centre of the City, it’s accessible and convenient and the main hall accommodates up to 200 people making it ideal as a public meeting room, conference or event venue.

We have seating for up to 75 people inside and we will be serving food on our beachfront decking this summer. We also have a takeaway kiosk so that you can enjoy food and drinks on the beach.
