A campaign supported by V2 Radio to ensure children have a comfortable and safe place to sleep has already helped 70 youngsters this year.
The Beds for Kids campaign, also supported by the Saywell International Track Day at Goodwood in aid of the Rotary Club of Chichester Harbour, has made a significant difference to families facing difficult circumstances.
Figures released by organisers show that 29 referrals have been received from professional partners, including social workers, health visitors and early intervention teams.
Of those referrals, 69 per cent were linked to poverty, while 24 per cent involved domestic violence and seven per cent were related to disability.
In the first six weeks, the campaign has provided 27 beds, along with bedding for a further 21 children, helping to improve sleeping arrangements for families in need.
The beds and bedding have been sourced through a combination of new purchases, second-hand items and generous donations.
The initiative aims to support children who may otherwise be going without suitable sleeping arrangements because of financial hardship or challenging family circumstances.
V2 Radio and the Saywell International Track Day at Goodwood have helped support the campaign's efforts to make a difference in young lives.
With demand for assistance coming from a range of professional services, the figures highlight the difficulties some families are facing as the cost of living hits hard.
The campaign's organisers say their work has already made an impact on the lives of 70 children, demonstrating the importance of community support and donations.
