Planned strikes involving more than 220 workers at Gatwick Airport have been called off after staff accepted an improved pay offer.
The Unite members work for Wilson James and provide assisted travel services for passengers who need additional support at the airport.
They had been due to walk out for eight days earlier this month, but the action was suspended while members voted on a revised offer.
Unite says the new deal has now been overwhelmingly accepted.
Under the agreement, workers will receive a five per cent pay rise backdated to April, along with a 0.5 per cent increase in employer pension contributions.
In 2027, pay will rise by CPI plus one per cent or 3.5 per cent, whichever is higher.
The deal improves on an earlier two-year offer which would have provided a 3.4 per cent increase in 2026 followed by CPI plus 0.5 per cent the following year.
Unite General Secretary Sharon Graham said: “This is a great win for our members at Wilson James, who do an important job helping passengers with disabilities at one of our busiest airports.
“They got this better pay deal by standing together and taking action. It proves the power of a union.”
Unite Regional Officer Ben Davis said the union was pleased the dispute had been resolved.
He said: “Unite is very pleased to have resolved this dispute with an improved pay deal for our members at Wilson James. Workers who want better pay should always join Unite and encourage their colleagues to do the same.”
The agreement means the planned industrial action at Gatwick will no longer go ahead.
