A 48-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Portsmouth.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police said officers were called shortly before 10am on Monday 14 September to reports of a domestic incident at an address in Cyprus Road.
Carole Langley, 74, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Scott Langley, 48, of St Pauls Road in Southsea, has been charged with murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 17 September.
Police enquiries into the circumstances surrounding Carole Langley’s death are continuing.
