A man has been taken to hospital after suffering an injury consistent with a stabbing in Eastbourne.
Sussex Police said officers received a report of a man injured in Susan’s Road at about 6pm on Sunday, 6 September.
A 39-year-old man was located nearby and taken to hospital for treatment.
Police say there will be an increased presence in the area while officers continue to respond to the incident.
Chief Inspector Karen Osborn said: “There will be an increased police presence in the area while we respond to this incident and to provide reassurance.
“We believe this was an isolated incident that did not pose a threat to the wider community.
“Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to come forward, quoting serial 1142 of 06/09.”
