Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision involving an SUV in Southampton.
The teenager was cycling along St Denys Road, near Cobden Bridge, when he was involved in a collision with a dark-coloured SUV on Sunday 11 October.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 2.55pm following reports of the crash.
The boy suffered serious injuries to his arm and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary says the SUV was travelling eastbound, away from Portswood and towards Bitterne, when the collision happened.
However, the driver failed to stop at the scene and continued their journey.
Officers are now trying to trace the vehicle and its driver as part of their investigation.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was travelling along St Denys Road or near Cobden Bridge around the time of the collision.
They are also appealing to motorists who may have dashcam footage showing the incident or the dark-coloured SUV travelling through the area.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information that could help identify the vehicle involved is urged to contact Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary on 101, quoting 44260499539.
