Two men have been arrested after police received reports of a man with a suspected firearm in Lancing.
Sussex Police were called to Brighton Road at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 7 October.
It was reported that a man had approached motorists in the area before leaving the scene in the direction of Chester Avenue.
Officers, including armed response officers, were deployed as part of the police response.
Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and both remain in custody while enquiries continue.
Sussex Police says there will be an increased police presence in the area while officers investigate.
