Arun District Council say Don't Rubbish Your Recycling

Arun District Council are reminding residents not to throw any real tree's straight in the bin now Christmas is over.

Instead, they're encouraging us to recycle the tree's so that they can be turned into compost or for other means.

If you're getting rid of a real tree, they say they can be disposed of at a household waste recycling centre.

But if you can't get to one nearby, they say trees can also be collected by Arun Green Waste Club if you have a subscription.

They say the same can be done for batteries, which cannot be disposed of in kerbside recycle or refuse bins.

Instead, they can also be disposed of at a recycling centre or at collection points in supermarkets, DIY centres or some local shops.

More information on how you can help keep the planet green with recycling are available on the Arun District Council website.
