Beacon lighting to take place across West Sussex

Beacons will be lit across West Sussex as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Queen will attend one beacon lighting ceremony at Windsor

The first beacons are to be lit in Tonga and Samoa in the South Pacific, and the final one in the central American country of Belize.

Beacons will be lit in the following West Sussex locations:

Arundel - Arundel Castle

Ashurst Wood – John Pears Field

Barns Green – Sharpenhurst Hill

Billingshurst – Village Green

Burgess Hill – St John's Park

Bognor - Seafront (The Esplanade)

Chcihester -Village Green (Tangmere)

Crawley - Tilgate Park

Duncton Down - Tupper Farms (Duncton Hill)

Easting – Harting Down Car Park

East Grinstead – King George's Field

Halnaker - Halnaker Windmill

Haywards Heath – Victoria Park (Twineham), Beacon Hill - Hookers Farm, (Twineham)

Horsham – The Papitol

Lancing - Church Farm (Coombes)

Lindfield – Lindfield Common

Littlehampton – Banjo Road

Midhurst– Cowdray Park (Cowdray Estate)

Milland – Cartersland

Plaistow– The Village Green

Petworth– Tillington Recreation Ground (Tillington)

Petworth - Lodgewood Village Hall
