Bognor Leisure Centre To Get Nearly a Million Pounds Funding

It's following complaints about the changing rooms.

Nearly a million pounds is being spent on upgrading the changing facilities at a Bognor Regis leisure centre

It follows an influx of complaints to the council about the changing rooms

The majority of the funding - over £660,000 – is expected to come from developer contributions.

The plans for the Arun Leisure Centre were approved this week and £987,000 was agreed.

A report before the housing and wellbeing committee says the funding is ‘dependent on the delivery of significant housing projects and can be susceptible to slippage’.

It means there's no guarantee the funding will be received on time - and in the meantime the council will have to pay for it.
