Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre Fayre Cancelled

But it's moving online to keep people safe during the pandemic.

The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre has cancelled this year's annual summer fayre for a second year running.

They say they spent a lot of time discussing how the event could go ahead they felt the best option was to cancel to keep everyone safe.

The centre is now planning on holding a Virtual Fayre on Facebook on Saturday 14th August and are inviting everyone to join.

Alongside this, they are also running an online auction, which includes some great items such as tickets for Goodwood, a hotel stay and one of a kind items from Brian May of Queen, Sir Patrick Moore and a radio script from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.

They also have a very exciting animal photography contest where the winner will be able to have their photo drawn into a portrait by a very talented local pet portrait artist.

Organisers say they have over 100 cats and 50 rabbits and guinea pigs to look after and they rely on donations to keep them going.

In 2019 they brought in £19,000 and are hoping to beat that this year.
