Chichester’s Summer Street Party

Chichester District Council’s Summer Street Party is returning to Chichester on 26 August from 3pm to 7pm.

The council has been working closely with the Chichester Business Improvement District (BID) to bring back this popular event. The Chichester Cross will be the centre of the festivities, where visitors will find live performances from V2 radio and the Arabesque School of Dance.

Visitors can expect to find a wealth of family friendly activities, an array of local food vendors and offers from participating businesses in the city centre.

Around this focal point, each quarter of the city will be hosting different events. From a carousel in the north quarter to a fashion show in the east quarter, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

In addition to the events planned by the district council, a large number of local businesses are also hosting their own events and promotions throughout the city centre. Be sure to keep an eye out for live music, demonstrations, discounts and much more outside the city’s shops.

“The Summer Street Party is just around the corner, so make sure you don’t miss out,” said Councillor Alan Sutton, Cabinet Member for Housing, Communications, Licensing and Events. “This is a great way to celebrate our city and all the people and businesses that call it home.

“Those coming to Chichester for the Street Party will be able to take part in a whole host of family activities. From face painting and trampolines to lizard handling and balloon art, there really is something for everyone. Shops will also be staying open until 7pm to allow people to drop by and take advantage of the deals and discounts planned.

“Everyone involved in organising the event has really pulled together to make it a street party worth remembering.”

Chichester Street Party takes place on Thursday 26 August from 3pm to 7pm. People can find out more at: https://www.facebook.com/events/955791475218867?active_tab=about
