East Wittering New Year Big Dip makes a welcome return

According to the organisers social media page, preparations are already underway for the festive event on 1st January 2022 where participants brave the cold and take a dip in the sea - some in fancy dress.

Last year the event was held virtually as a result of the covid restrictions in place across the country at the time.

Organised by the 1st Birdham and Witterings Scout Group, registration for this years dip in the sea takes place between 11am and 12.30pm at the Shore Inn in Shore Road on New Years Day. The dip itself takes place at 1pm.

Those wishing to take part are advised to complete sponsorship forms which are available now at https://1stbirdham-witteringsscouts.org/ or in Calamity’s, East Wittering.
