A large fire broke out at a Chichester home on Wednesday night (6th April).

Fire service crews from across West Sussex, including Chichester Fire, East Wittering Fire Service, Bognor Fire, Selsey Fire, Littlehampton Fire and East Preston, were on the scene of the blaze until 12.30am.

In a tweet at the time the fire service advised people to avoid the area as crews tackled large the blaze.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue have since provided an update on the incident stating that all residents at the property were safe and had been accounted for.

The update went on to confirm that a re-inspection took place this morning with the service calling the incident ‘closed’.
