The clean-up operation is underway after flooding across the south coast.

Around 180 people were evacuated from Medmerry holiday park near Bracklesham on Monday into Tuesday morning.

The MP for Chichester has been supporting those involved, Gillian Keegan has been speaking to the Environment Agency to find out what resources are needed.

A major incident was declared after the river Arun burst its banks.

In Shoreham, residents described the flooding in their town as 'scary and unprecedented.”

These are the areas to watch out for today; according to the Environment Agency, severe flood warnings are in effect, meaning flooding is expected for the North and East Hayling Island coastal areas, East Wittering and Bracklesham coast, Medmerry Beach, Climping, and Littlehampton’s Rope Walk area.

There are also flooding warnings, meaning flooding is possible across other coastal areas of Hayling Island, Thorny Island, the tidal areas of Shoreham Harbour, and the coastal areas of Seaford.
