Hovertravel says it’s bringing forward the start of its later evening summer crossings to and from the Isle of Wight, following strong customer demand.
The additional services will now begin on Saturday, the 28th of March, earlier than originally planned.
They had been due to start on the 6th of April.
The change is designed to support travel during the Easter holidays.
The decision reflects increased forward bookings and customer feedback requesting later return options during the Easter break, when both leisure travel and visits to friends and family typically see a seasonal uplift.
Loretta Lale, Head of Marketing at Hovertravel, said: “We know how important flexibility is for our customers, particularly during school holidays and the Easter period. Easter is such a wonderful time to travel — the days are longer, the weather is often brighter, and people are keen to get out and explore after the winter months. Demand for later evening crossings has been especially strong this year, so we’re delighted to bring these flights forward to Saturday 28th March. By introducing the 19:15 from Ryde and the 19:30 from Southsea earlier than planned, we’re giving customers more choice and helping them make the most of their time on both sides of the Solent.”
