Santa takes to the skies over Bognor Regis on Christmas Eve

Residents of Bognor Regis should keep their eyes on the sky later today (Christmas Eve) as a motor glider with a difference takes flight.

Weather permitting the Aerosparx ariel team will be flying from the gliding club at the Lec Airfield later this afternoon between 4:15 and 5pm (24th December 2021).

The team will be using their unique motor glider to help bring Santa to Bognor and ligh up the festive skies with LED lights and a firework display.

The flight with Santa onboard will also be raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) and disability charity Aerobility, which gives disabled people the chance to fly aircraft.

This should be a truely wonderful and magical sight to behold for the old and young and you can be part of it by watching, taking photographs and  supporting Aerobility and the RNLI. There is also a prize for the best photograph taken on the day.

Festive spectators in Bognor Regis and Felpham are asked to check the AeroSPARX facebook page for weather updates and exact timings during the day.
