The Cross Market & More artisan market is set to return to Chichester city centre next month, bringing a day of shopping, food and entertainment to the high street.
The event will take place on Sunday 26 April, running from 10am to 4pm across North Street and East Street. Organised by Chichester District Council, the market has become a popular fixture since launching in 2021, attracting thousands of visitors each year. It marks the first of three Cross Market & More events planned for 2026.
The market offers a platform for local creatives, designers and makers to showcase their work, with a wide range of products on offer. Visitors can expect to browse stalls featuring textiles, jewellery, prints, arts and crafts, alongside a selection of street food and drink.
Live entertainment will also feature throughout the day, with performances from local musicians adding to the atmosphere.
Councillor Harsha Desai, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Licensing, Communications and Events at Chichester District Council, says: "These fabulous markets showcase the wealth of talented creatives that we're so lucky to have on our doorstep.
"The Cross Market & More continues to be a fantastic addition to Chichester’s vibrant market offering, raising the profile of our wonderful district and contributing to the local economy by creating a destination experience in line with the council’s commitment to boosting economic growth and supporting local businesses.
"The event was introduced in response to growing demand from residents for more varied markets to support the high street, and it has certainly delivered. In previous years, we’ve seen visitors travel from across the region— including from Brighton, Surrey, and Hampshire. Join us to soak up the vibrant atmosphere, support our local artisan talent, and discover a few amazing finds too!"
The event is expected to draw visitors from across the region once again, boosting footfall and supporting local businesses.
