West Sussex is to receive 17.4 million pounds of new funding to provide better and cheaper bus services across the region.
The county joins 31 other areas across the country to receive funding as part of the Governments £1.2 billion bus transformation programme.
The funding is part of a £7 billion package designated by the government to develop and level up transport outside of London.
The government hopes to deliver lower fares and help to tackle the pressures of the cost of living crisis.
£5.7 billion of transport funding will go towards England’s eight city regions; and £38 million for light rail operators across the Midlands and North.
