West Sussex Council looking into ways to encourage nature

West Sussex County Council have announced that they are exploring ways of managing road verges in order to help encourage nature.

The county of West Sussex has the equivalent to more than 43,000 grass tennis courts worth of road verges,  according to the Lead Officer with the Stakeholder and Partnerships team.

 The council have been promoting nature on its road network for more than 40 years - ever since the Notable Road Verge Programme came into being.
