Where in West Sussex are you based: Bognor Regis
Musical taste: I’m a big fan of the 80s (my formative years), but will listen to most styles and genres of music. If you were to ask my wife or friends, they would probably tell you I love a bit of cheesy pop (who doesn’t secretly?)
How long have you been involved in radio: Radio has been in my blood, man and boy! I used to ‘broadcast’ an in-house radio station annoying my family from about the age of 8. I count my real radio experience as starting at hospital radio in Chichester at the age of 14, and being part of launch line-up at Spirit FM in 1996
Best radio experience: Having the opportunity help and support local charities and make a difference in our community. With my ‘producer’ hat on I was proud to set a powerful montage of audio clips from the Save St. Richards rallies to music, to show the real support and passion of the people when this vital service was under threat.
Favourite part of West Sussex: Walking in the pebbled beach from Elmer to where the prom starts at Felpham (there is a bit on that stretch that you can only do when the tide is out!) We are so lucky in the county, as if you are not near the beach, you are only a few miles away from some beautiful countryside.
What excites you about V2 Radio: The prospect of building a brand-new radio station from the ground up, and working with some amazingly talented people to return proper local radio to West Sussex. Together we are planning to serve the county with a wide variety of music, information and entertainment – and have some fun along the way as well!
