This much-loved event will see the Cathedral transformed by more than 50,000 blooms in a spectacular celebration of colour, scent and creativity. Designed by Caroline Daines of Nordic Twigs, the 2026 theme – Nature’s Embrace – celebrates the beauty and restorative power of the natural world.
Taking place every two years in the heart of the historic city of Chichester, the Festival of Flowers is one of the most popular days out in West Sussex, attracting visitors from across the region and beyond to enjoy stunning floral displays.
Visitors can also explore the Festival Market, located within the Cathedral’s 600 year old cloisters, showcasing local crafts and produce over the four days of the Festival.
Afternoon Tea and Refreshments
Cloisters Kitchen & Garden, conveniently located in the Cathedral, is the perfect place to pause for delicious refreshments. For an extra-special treat, why not book afternoon tea in the historic Vicars’ Hall, the Cathedral’s medieval banqueting hall? Afternoon teas are available by advanced booking only via the online ticket office. Alternatively, those looking for a quick bite can visit the food outlets on the South West Lawn.
