Bring your child’s imagination to life in this hands-on creative workshop inspired by William Nicholson’s love for portraits and theatrical costume designs.

In this workshop, participants will have fun sketching ideas for expressive, imaginative faces, then use willow to craft a frame. Guided throughout, they’ll use wet-strength tissue, coloured tissues and other collage materials to create faces for their handheld theatre style masks.
This workshop is a wonderful way for children to discover more about working in 3D, whilst experimenting with colour and design. Each child leaves with a vibrant, one-of-a-kind willow mask celebrating their own artistic vision.
