Community Litter Pick event in Bognor Regis

Families and local residents are being invited to come together for a community litter pick in Bognor Regis this March, organised by Nature Makers Chichester & Bognor Regis as part of their yearly Community Give Back Week.

The event will take place on Thursday 13th March, meeting at 10am at the Lidl car park in Bognor Regis, before volunteers walk along the Felpham Bypass collecting litter and helping to improve the local environment.

Nature Makers is a local business that provides nature-inspired, sustainable art and craft sessions for children and families, with a strong focus on nurturing creativity, connection to nature and environmental responsibility. The litter pick reflects these core values and aims to show children that caring for nature is something we actively do, not just talk about.

Local organiser Zsofi Vitanyi said:
“Nature Makers is built on the belief that small actions can make a big difference. This litter pick is about bringing people together, taking pride in our area, and showing children that they have the power to look after the world around them.”

Gloves and bin bags will be provided, and volunteers are encouraged to wear suitable footwear and bring a high-visibility jacket if they have one, as traffic along the bypass can be busy at times. The pedestrian walkway is wide, and families with children are welcome to attend.

The event is free to join, and people can simply turn up on the day.
