The Orchard is a relatively new garden, planted in autumn 2023 following the completion of a new build on site. At the front, there is soft prairie style planting, while around the back you will find a rambling, informal cottage garden with a cutting bed, soft fruit, vegetables, and a small natural pond. The garden enjoys stunning views of the South Downs. https://findagarden.ngs.org.uk/garden/47273/the-orchard
Woodlands is set in a quiet location at the foot of the South Downs, with lovely views and easy access for walking. East, south, and west facing garden with beautiful herbaceous perennials, alliums, shrubs, roses, and grasses set against lawn, gravel, and decking. A small pond, along with sculptures of a tree owl and glass flowers. https://findagarden.ngs.org.uk/garden/47271/woodlands
Thanks to the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors The National Garden Scheme have donated over £77.8 million to nursing and health charities and in 2025 made an annual donation of over £3.8 million. The core beneficiaries include Carers Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinson’s UK and The Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing.
The National Garden Scheme doesn’t just open beautiful gardens for charity – they are passionate about the physical and mental health benefits of gardens too. They also support charities doing amazing work in gardens and health and grant bursaries to help community gardening projects.
